At TCVA, we are proud to have some of the best coaches in the area who are dedicated to training your kids to be successful athletes. Our coaches have years of experience and are passionate about helping your child reach their full potential. We believe that every player should have access to quality coaching, regardless of their age or skill level.

Jasmine Faison

  • Attended Texas A&M San Antonio majoring in Kinesiology & a minor in Education.

  • Started her higher education career at Laredo Community College

  • 2006 graduate from Thomas Edison High School in San Antonio, TX.

Playing Experience   (Setter/OPP)                                         

  • Jasmine lettered in Volleyball, Basketball & Track at Thomas Edison High School

  • After graduating from High School in 2006 she continued her athletic career as a varsity NJCAA volleyball player at Laredo Community College

  • Jasmine still competes in high-leveled adult volleyball tournaments & leagues.

Coaching Experience                                                              

  • Jasmine is entering her 16th year of coaching club volleyball

  • This will be Jasmine's 5th year as a head coach with TCVA

​

Throughout her coaching career, she has coached all age groups. Jasmine has successfully coached her teams to The National Junior Olympics 7 times! Coach Jasmine is committed to creating well-rounded players on the court, as well as the community and classroom. She strives to enhance the volleyball talents of all players while developing their leadership skills, self-discipline, and work ethic.

  • Pat served over 21 years in the United States Air Force.

Playing Experience (OH /MB/DS/S)

  • Pat actively plays in USAV Texas Senior Volleyball circuit as a Libero/DS/setter

  • He also participates in USAV Men’s Open Nationals Volleyball as a Libero/DS

  • Pat was the Air Force Hawaii Volleyball outside hitter and setter 

  • He is a member of All US Air Force Volleyball Team as outside hitter/DS

  • He is also a member of Randolph Ramblers Volleyball AA outside hitter/setter

  • Pat is a member of multiple men’s volleyball clubs in Hawaii

  • He Played a year at Ka’u High School, Hi as a middle blocker

Coaching Experience

  • This will be Pat's 10th Season with TCVA

  • Pat was the Head coach at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Middle School for 11 years

  • Pat coached for 2 years at St Mary’s Hall as the boys JV Head coach and Assitant Varsity Head coach  

  • Pat was the Assistant Head coach for the Air Force Hawaii Men’s Volleyball Team 

  • Pat was the Head coach of the Air Force Hawaii Women’s Varsity

Alex Villa

  • Alex graduated from University of Maryland Global Campus with Masters of Cybersecurity

  • Alex earned Bachelor of Business Information Systems with University of Phoenix

  • Earned two Associates at Community College of the Air Force

    • Information Management and Logistics

  • Alex graduated from Ka’u High School in Big Island, HI

Alex served over 27 years in the United States Air Force

Playing Experience (OH/RS/MB/DS/S)

  • He lettered and received sports awards in Track & Field, Volleyball, Basketball at Ka’u High School, HI

  • Alex actively competes in USAV and high-leveled adult tournaments

  • Alex traveled throughout the world and played adult club teams in California, Texas, Guam, England, Netherland, Germany, NATO, and Belgium

  • Alex is a member of the All-US Air Force and AIRCOM Volleyball Team

Coaching Experience

  • This will be Alex's second year coaching with TCVA

  • After graduating High School, Alex volunteered as an assistant coached for Ka’u High School  

  • During his 27 years in the Air Force, Alex volunteered to coached (Football, Soccer, Basketball, & Volleyball) at the Military Child & Youth Services Sports programs 

  • Alex coached the men’s and/or women’s Air Force base team at Beale AFB, Andersen AFB, RAF Mildenhall, and Brussels-Belgium

  • Alex is also a certified Volleyball and Basketball Official for 10 years

Gaby Canavati

15 Green Head Coach

  • With over 14 years of immersive experience in the collegiate and club volleyball scene, Coach Gaby brings an unmatched depth of knowledge to the court. Her coaching journey spans 6 years, including stints at both local and regional levels, and she's currently in her 2nd season with TCVA, where she's already guiding a national-level team with remarkable finesse.

  • Coach Gaby is a force of energy, infusing enthusiasm into every aspect of the game, on and off the court. Her passion for volleyball and coaching is palpable, and it fuels her unwavering commitment to make a lasting impact on the lives of young athletes.

  • What sets Coach Gaby apart is her unique approach. Drawing from her ongoing pursuit of a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, she seamlessly blends coaching techniques with empowering strategies to boost self-confidence and self-worth. She firmly believes that fostering self-care and emphasizing teamwork cultivates personal growth and discipline, both on and off the court.

  • Coach Gaby's transparency shines through as she emphasizes the importance of self-care and individual autonomy. Her coaching isn't just about winning matches; it's about nurturing well-rounded athletes who thrive in every aspect of life.

Abbey Wells

Education

  • Abbey is a graduate of Bryan P. Steele High School in Cibolo, TX

  • Abbey graduated from Texas A&M University – Kingsville with a degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science and Performance Psychology

Playing Experience ( SETTER/DS )

  • Abbey played club volleyball for TCVA for 8 years

  • She lettered as a Varsity Volleyball Player for her entire 4 years at Steele High School

  • Abbey continued her volleyball career as a Varsity NCAA Division II Volleyball Player at Texas A&M University – Kingsville

  • Abbey has been coaching for 9 years

  • She has been a TCVA Coach / Practice Program Coach for 7 years

Amber Danaher

  • Amber lettered in volleyball all 4 years at Judson High School.

  • Amber still competes in high-level adult volleyball tournaments and leagues.

Coaching Experience                                                              

  • After graduating, Amber decided to be on the other side of volleyball and start her coaching career.

  • This will be Amber's 9th year coaching and her 2nd at TCVA.​

​

Throughout her coaching career, Amber has coached all age groups across the board. Amber is passionate about the game, and it shines through her coaching style! She is constantly pushing her athletes to be the best they can be. Her goal is to instill confidence, a hard work ethic, and discipline in her athletes.

PATRICIA STEIN

13 White Head Coach

  • Earned her Masters Degree from Texas State in 2015

  • Earned her Bachelor Degree from UT Dallas in 2010

  • 2006 graduate from Judson High School in San Antonio, TX.

Playing Experience   (MH/OH)                                         

  • After graduating from High School in 2006 she continued her athletic career at UT Dallas where she assisted her team in winning 2 conference championships.

  • Jasmine still competes in high-leveled adult volleyball tournaments & leagues.

Coaching Experience                                                              

  • Patricia is entering her 11th year of coaching club volleyball

  • This will be Patricia's 1st year as a head coach with TCVA.

  • Patricia has previously coached in Dallas and New Mexico, as well as for Centex and Impact in the San Antonio area.

  • Patricia is a mom to 3 kiddos who play multiple sports and keep her crazy busy!

  • Dan proudly earned his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Agricultural Business Economics at Southern Illinois University.

  • Dan graduated from El Paso High School in El Paso, IL

Playing Experience ( MB )

  • Dan was a prominent figure for The Southern Illinois University Men’s Club Volleyball Team.

  • Dan was an experienced Middle Blocker

​

Coaching Experience

  • Dan has been coaching club volleyball for over 20 years with TCVA

  • Dan has worked with all age groups

  • Dan has been the TCVA club director for 11 years

​

Dan’s goal is always to better his athletes and grow them in every way shape and form. He pushes them beyond limits and sees that they excel at every level. He is known by his peers as someone to be learned from & respected.

  • Coach Faison graduated from the University of Incarnate Word with a Bachelors in Physical Education and Minor in Secondary Art

  • Nancy played basketball and volleyball all four years of college and softball for one year

 Coaching Experience

  • Nancy has coached UIL volleyball for 37 years now and will be entering her 18th club season

  • Coach Faison has led most of her teams to nationals.

  • After graduating from High School in 2020 she continued her athletic career as an NCAA D2 athlete at Texas Woman's University.
